The top BUCHANAN line came into Glasgow from Renfrewshire then looped out to Garelochhead, Dunbartonshire before returning to Glasgow.
However, William BUCHANAN the elder c1791-1878 and Janet PORTER c1799-1874 were both born in Ireland.
This BUCHANAN line must return to Scotland, but I have no idea when.
The McINTYRE lines may be of Ayrshire origin, starting from Jane c1825-1866.
The COLQUHOUN line links in at Garelochhead in 1876, but current research puts the earlier generation of the family back in Glasgow.
The bottom BUCHANAN line begins in Garelochhead in 1845 and passes back through Rothesay, Bute to Lochgilphead, Argyll. It may originate in Kilbrandon, Argyll
The SINCLAIR lines start in Kilninver and Kilmelford, Argyll with the birth of Catherine c1794
